A.Ferguson: "Chelsea" man suggested taking the coach position © EuroFootball.com

Legendary "Man Utd" coach Alex Ferguson revealed that during his career he had also received an offer from London's "Chelsea" team.

This happened in 2003, when the "blues" were bought by Russian Roman Abramovich.

The specialist revealed that he was offered to replace Claudio Ranieri as a strategist, but the Scot immediately said "no".

"They sent an agent to start negotiating with me, but I immediately said that it was not worth wasting time," - said Ferguson.

Having led "Man Utd" for over two decades, the Scot claimed that current coach David Moyes can still find the key to victories, despite the unsuccessful start of the season.

"The Red Devils" - in the right hands, everything will be fine. But I am not interested in returning to the position of the club's manager."
