"Manchester United" players from Donetsk took only one point, but assure Ukraine that they leave with their heads held high. David Moyes and his players were not upset by the 1:1 draw.
"Of course, it's a shame that we couldn't win, but "Shakhtar" deserved the point," said Manchester's coach D. Moyes after the match.
Although they couldn't take the victory, the coach was satisfied with the game: "We had to play better than in our recent matches. I think tonight we looked good. "Shakhtar" is a good team that plays very well at home. So the result is not bad."
Meanwhile, "Shakhtar" manager Mircea Lucescu was disappointed that they only managed to score once against the pressed English goal in the end of the match.
"After the first goal, "Manchester United" closed off their half of the field and only played on counterattacks. We planned to attack in the last 25 minutes. It's a shame that we only scored once," said the Romanian.
