In the match on September 18 between Napoli and Borussia clubs, J. Klopp lost control of his emotions and attacked the fourth game referee. J. Klopp was angry because the referee did not allow Borussia defender Mats Hummels to return to the field, while Napoli scored a goal.
J. Klopp was sent off the field, Borussia's team lost this match 1:2, and UEFA decided that the coach would not be able to lead his team in the next Champions League matches.
The absence of the coach did not prevent Borussia's players from beating Marseille's Olympique team 3:0 at home on Wednesday. However, UEFA decided to extend J. Klopp's disqualification after this match - he will not be able to lead the team in the next round of matches, where the Dortmund team will face the group leaders Arsenal in London. The match will take place on October 22nd.
