London's "Arsenal" club midfielder Jack Wilshere admitted to making a mistake and says he will no longer smoke in the future.
Last week, a photo circulated on the internet showing the England international with a cigarette.
The club's manager Arsene Wenger stated that this situation will be discussed with the player and resolved.
Despite this incident, J.Wilshere started Sunday's match with the "West Bromwich" team in the starting lineup and scored the equalizing goal.
The player himself insists that this will not happen again in the future: "I am not a smoker. The coach asked why it happened, I explained and this situation is already resolved."
"The manager allowed me to play and I hope I did not disappoint him. I am not a smoker, so I think that was my last cigarette," said the footballer.
