Reaching the bottom of the English Premier League table, the Sunderland club has found a new strategist.
After a tragic start to the season, the North England team relieved head coach Paolo Di Canio of his duties and temporarily Kevin Ball took over.
The new coach of the team is Uruguayan Gus Poyet, who has previously managed the Brighton & Hove Albion team for several seasons.
The strategist has also worked as an assistant coach at Tottenham, Leeds United, and Swindon Town clubs.
The 45-year-old specialist has signed a two-year contract with the Sunderland club.
"This will be a tough challenge for me, but one that I am excited about and grateful for the opportunity to work in the English Premier League," said G. Poyet.
