On Tuesday evening, the last qualifying matches of the 2014 World Cup were played.
The Russians secured their ticket to the summer championship in Brazil by drawing 1-1 against Azerbaijan in Group F.
Meanwhile, Portugal celebrated an easy victory against Luxembourg, but they collected 21 points in the group, while the Russians had 22 points. This means that Paulo Bento's team will have to play additional matches to secure their place in South America.
The Dutch national team, who had already secured their place in the championship on Friday, defeated the Turkish team 2-0 as guests, leaving Turkey at fourth place in their group, while Romania held the second place.
Other teams that secured their spots in the FIFA tournament in Brazil were Belgium, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, England, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Spanish champions.
