The German titan "Bild" newspaper announces that Borussia Dortmund will sell defender Mats Hummels at the end of the season.
The report states that the German vice-champions will sell the defender to Barcelona, while they will acquire young Basel defender Fabian Schar in the same position.
The Catalonia team tried to acquire the 24-year-old defender from Borussia last summer, but the "yellow and black" team refused to part ways with M. Hummels.
Nevertheless, the Dortmund team is already making plans for the upcoming summer and hopes to attract promising Swiss player F. Schar to take the place of the German.
Barcelona has been trying to strengthen their defense for some time now because their veteran Carles Puyol has been plagued by constant injuries in recent years.
