Former France national team coach Jacques Santini has been appointed as the head coach of the French team.
In this position, Santini will replace Guy Roux, who has been in charge of the team for 42 years and will now be responsible for the team's sports affairs.
53-year-old Santini led the team until last November.
"I am very happy to be able to return to my homeland. It is an honor for me," said Santini.
"Santini is a man who only lost twice with France in 2 years. He is perfect for this job," said G. Roux.
