Centrallithuanian football A league match in Panevezys between local team "Ekranas" and Vilnius "Žalgiris" ended peacefully - 1:1.
"Ekranas" will no longer catch up to the Vilnius team. Theoretically, only Klaipeda's "Atlantas", who is in second place, can do that.
In the match at Aukštaitijos stadium, the Žalgiris player Kamilis Bilinskis scored in the 31st minute, but one goal was not enough for the capital club.
In the final minute of the match, the referee awarded a penalty kick to "Žalgiris" goal. It was gifted to the Panevėžys team by Egidijus Vaitkūnas, who spat in the face of his opponent in the penalty area, although at that time there was no danger to the Vilnius club's goal.
Arsenijus Buinickij flawlessly converted the penalty kick from 11 meters and secured the draw.
