The coach of Turin's Juventus did not seek blame after the painful defeat to Florence's Fiorentina with a score of 4-2.
In the last Serie A championship round, the Italian champions managed to build a two-goal advantage before the break, but in 14 minutes they conceded four goals without a response.
"I think the course of the match was in our hands. We controlled every step of the opponents. Even in the second half, we created several great opportunities to score goals," the coach spoke after the match.
"Then something unexpected and unexplainable happened. We lost a match in which we were clearly leading. How to explain this? Everything is simple - in 10 minutes, we turned all the work we put in before and during the match into nothing. We let our guard down and the 'purples' scored a few strange goals. Until the 70th minute, Juventus dominated the field. That's football. We can't relax for a second."
"We have to learn from those ten minutes. Last year in Florence, we had much more trouble, but we managed to get a draw," Conte reminisced. - I will continue to say that these years will be very difficult."
Next Wednesday, in the UEFA Champions League, Juventus will face off against Real Madrid.
