Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Madrid's "Real" before the Champions League match against Turin's "Juventus," will have to do without the veteran Xabi Alonso.
This week, the Spanish national team guard returned to the training sessions of the "royal" club, but will be spared for the "El Clasico" match, which will take place on Saturday.
"I can put all the players on the field, except for X. Alonso. But for now, I won't reveal the starting eleven," said the Italian.
C. Ancelotti refused to confirm whether the world's most expensive footballer Gareth Bale will have a chance to play with the Italian champions.
"At the moment, Di Maria plays well, he trusts his abilities and shows a strong character. He is a very important player for us," said the coach.
C. Ancelotti was at the helm of "Juventus" from 1999-2001, and journalists asked what has changed since those times.
"My hair," joked the strategist.
"There have been many changes - I have gained more experience, and the years of work at the Turin club helped me grow as a specialist and as a person."
