For 2 million euros, "Banfield" acquired goalkeeper Mariano Barbosa. The contract with the Argentine is signed for three years.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper will replace most likely Jose Reina, who moved to this year's Champions League winners. "Liverpool" and "Inter" also showed interest in Barbosa, but only "Villarreal" made a specific offer.
This is already the second purchase of "Villarreal" this week, as the team prepares to play in the Champions League next year. Earlier, the team was reinforced by Ecuadorian Antonio Valencia from "El Nacional" for 1.8 million euros.
