Today, the 34th round of the first Lithuania "SMScredit.lt A League" took place.
Vilnius "Žalgiris" met Pakruojis "Kruoja" at home. Marek Zub's students failed to win the victory and secure first place.
The Žalgiris team took the lead in the very first minute of the match, when Mantas Kuklys scored after a pass from Serge Nyuiadzi.
In the 26th minute, the guests from Pakruojis equalized the score. Nerijus Astrauskas scored an impressive goal from the penalty area.
At the end of the first half, the Vilnius team managed to take the lead again. In the 45th minute, Ramūnas Radavičius also scored a wonderful goal.
However, in the second half, "Kruoja's" response was not long in coming. Already in the 61st minute, Aliaksandras Tshishkevichius broke into the penalty area and defeated Armantas Vitkauskas.
During the remaining time, the capital team failed to score a goal and the match ended in a draw. In case of a victory, Žalgiris had a great opportunity to secure the champion's title.
If "Žalgiris" had won three points and Panevėžio "Ekranas" had defeated Klaipėda's "Atlantas" in the evening match, then Lithuania would have had new champions, but we will have to wait for the next round.
