The Lithuanian national and youth (U-21) football teams will end the 2013 season with matches in Moldova on November 18-19.

The U-21 team will play European Championship qualifying matches against their local counterparts in Tiraspol on November 19.

One day earlier, on November 18, friendly international matches between the national teams of Moldova and Lithuania are planned. The match will take place in Chisinau, at the "Zimbru" stadium.

This will be the eighth friendly match between these teams since 1992. The last match between them in Moldova in 2006 ended with a 3:2 victory for the hosts.

Moldovan football players jumped as many as 33 positions in the FIFA world rankings in October and rose to 96th place.

The Moldovans' flight was influenced by two victories in the World Cup qualifiers - against San Marino at home and Montenegro away.
