Dortmund's "Borussia" club strategist Jurgen Klopp is not planning to leave the team in the near future.

The official team website announced on Wednesday afternoon that the strategist has extended his contract until 2018.

The 46-year-old specialist's previous contract was valid until 2016, and many of the top European clubs were interested in this German.

However, Klopp is not interested in taking over the reins of another club in the near future.

"It is an honor that so many clubs are interested in my services, but I am not one of those people who always care if the grass is greener elsewhere," said the strategist.

"It is important to be in the right place at the right time, and Dortmund is such a place for me.

For interested clubs, I will say the same thing I have always said: it is very nice to receive attention, but my contract is valid until 2018 and I will abide by its terms, no matter how strange it may seem to someone. So thank you, but I will decline," Klopp said.

Klopp took over at Borussia in the summer of 2008, coming from the "Mainz" club. With the Dortmund team, Klopp won two Bundesliga titles, the German Cup, and led the team to the UEFA Champions League final last season, where they had to settle for second place against the Bayern players.
