The representatives of Munich's Bayern club have started discussions with the team's left-back David Alaba regarding the conditions of a new contract.
Alaba's current contract with the Bavarian team expires in the summer of 2015, and top European clubs are already monitoring the situation of the footballer.
Nevertheless, Alaba himself has expressed his desire to stay in Pep Guardiola's coached team: "At the moment, Bayern is my first choice."
"Negotiations for a new contract are ongoing, although I cannot announce anything official yet," said the defender.
The 21-year-old footballer joined Bayern in 2008 at the age of 16. Austria received 150 thousand euros in compensation for the young talent.
At the beginning of his career, Alaba played in the midfield position, but over time he established himself on the left side of defense.
