The Madrid "Real" club is satisfied with Diego Lopez. According to the newspaper "Marca", the Spanish vice champions intend to extend the contract with the goalkeeper and double his salary.
The 31-year-old Spaniard returned to the capital team last winter, when he replaced the injured Iker Casillas in goal, who still has to fight for a starting position.
D. Lopez demonstrates excellent sports form at the "royal" club, especially shining as a goalkeeper last season. Carlo Ancelotti found a solution for both players - the latter plays in the "Primera" championship, while the team's symbol and captain in the UEFA Champions League.
According to the Madrid newspaper, the former "Villarreal" member could extend the current contract with "Real" for another year. The current contract is valid until 2017.
It is believed that this summer I. Casillas may seriously consider the possibility of leaving his only club in his professional career, although lately D. Lopez has not been very successful in his game.
