On Saturday evening, the central match of the 10th round of the Premier League took place at the Emirates Stadium in London.
The Arsenal players, supported by their fans, welcomed the climbing Liverpool club on the tournament table.
From the beginning of the match, Arsene Wenger's players took control of the game, controlling the ball more and creating more dangerous attacks.
Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers' players mostly tried to attack the opponents with counterattacks.
Their advantage on the field turned into a goal in the 19th minute by Santi Cazorla: the ball struck by the Spaniard's head hit the post, and the agile midfielder ran first to score against Simon Mignolet.
After the goal, the game did not change much and the hosts continued to dominate on the field, while the Liverpool team struggled to break through the Gunners' defense.
In the second half, Liverpool's game was revived by the substitution of Philippe Coutinho, and Wojciech Szczesny and defenders narrowly avoided an equalizing goal.
The Arsenal players continued to attack, and one of those attacks resulted in a second goal.
Receiving the ball on the right side, Mesut Ozil passed it to Aaron Ramsey, who sent it into S.Mignolet's goal from outside the penalty area.
For the remaining half-hour, Arsenal gradually gave the initiative to the visitors, who threatened Szczesny's goal very dangerously, but Wenger's players managed to defend and celebrate victory, as well as record important three points in the leaders' clash.
This victory allowed the Gunners to pull away from the Liverpool team by five points and continue to lead the Premier League.
