The Madrid "Real" club has started negotiations with sponsors regarding the naming rights of the stadium.
Last month, the president of the royal club revealed that the team is looking for sponsors, as the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium is planned to be renovated.
The negotiations have progressed furthest with the software company "Microsoft", so it is likely that after the renovation works, the stadium will be named after this company.
"Microsoft" president in Spain, Maria Garana confirmed these statements: "Our relationship with the "Real" club is excellent and we recently signed a sponsorship agreement".
"There is a possibility to name the stadium after the company, but for now, we are only discussing it," - said M. Garana.
The "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium was opened in 1947. The fortress of the royal club can accommodate more than 85 thousand spectators.
