This week marked the end of the 2013 Mini Football League (MFL) 6 on 6 season, which even Hollywood film directors could envy.

Twelve teams participated in the championship, and before the last round, the teams in the first two places as well as the third and fourth places had an equal number of points (55 each and 46 each). Moreover, the schedule coincided in such a way that the champions and bronze medalists were decided precisely between themselves.

Despite a better goal difference, "FK IndEx" managed to secure a draw against "FK Viršuliškės" in a thrilling match. Led by the most productive player of the MFL season (51 goals), Ernestas Česonis, the "FK IndEx" team celebrated victory with a score of 4:3 and became the champion. In the battle for bronze medals, "Mėgėjų sporto centras" defeated "Perkūnas" 4:2 after a fierce fight.

"Throughout the season, tough competition was prevalent, emotions were high, and it is pleasing that we managed to avoid serious injuries. I believe that organizationally everything went smoothly – the teams only needed to play and enjoy football. It's no wonder that our league motto is "You play,"" said MFL director Tomas Butkus.
