General Manager of Juventus Giuseppe Marotta put an end to rumors that the club is looking to sell newcomer Fernando Llorente.
Last summer, the striker, who became a free agent, signed a long-term contract with the Italian club, but slow adaptation led to talks about a possible departure.
According to unofficial information, the Spaniard is of interest to London's Arsenal, which is reportedly preparing a €20 million offer.
This Thursday, speaking to journalists from the Italian newspaper "Tuttosport," G. Marotta wasted no time in denying all speculations about the player's sale.
"Llorente is not for sale. We never even considered it," said Juventus' general manager.
"He will stay with us because we trust him one hundred percent. Llorente is gradually reaching optimal athletic form. We are satisfied with his work and progress," noted G. Marotta.
The start of the season in Antonio Conte's team was tough for the striker, but with each game, he appears more often on the field.
In the Serie A championship, F. Llorente played 8 matches, scored 1 goal, and made an assist. Meanwhile, in the UEFA Champions League, the striker scored twice in three games, scoring both goals in matches against Real Madrid.
