"Manchester United's" head coach David Moyes stated before the upcoming match against London's "Arsenal" that they were not interested in the mentioned club's midfielder Mesut Ozil.
During the end of the summer transfer window, rumors spread that "Man Utd" and "Arsenal" had made offers to Madrid's "Real" team for the German player, and it seems that the "gunners" attempt was successful.
"We did not intend to purchase Ozil. We discussed this player earlier, but we did not need a player in his position," Moyes insisted.
"We have players in similar positions in the team. That's Wayne Rooney and Shinji Kagawa. Of course, we were interested in several midfielders, just not in this position," added the coach.
It should be noted that tomorrow at "Old Trafford" stadium, David Moyes' team will face Arsene Wenger's team. The match will be broadcasted live on the "Viasat Sport Baltic" channel starting from 6 pm.
