On Friday, during the press conference, club representatives announced that after a medical examination, it was decided for now not to sign a contract with Patrick Kluivert. During the check-up, a minor knee injury was detected for the Dutch striker.

According to club representatives, before signing a contract with a player, coaches and managers want to be completely sure that the Dutchman is in good athletic form. Medics prescribed Kluivert twenty days to recover, after which a second medical examination will be performed. If the repeat inspection is successful, "Valencia" is prepared to offer the Dutchman a three-year contract.

Throughout his career, Kluivert has already played in all the strongest European football leagues: in Italy he represented a club, in Spain he wore the jerseys, and last season the striker spent in a mid-table English league team.
