The head of Borussia Dortmund club Hans-Joachim Watzke confirmed that there is a buyout clause in Marco Reus's contract.

M. Reus joined the European vice-champion team in the summer of 2012, when Borussia Monchengladbach paid a buyout clause of 17.1 million euros.

"Marco Reus has a buyout clause in his current contract. This means he can leave our club. However, he is the only player in the main team with such a condition in his contract," Watzke confirmed rumors about the buyout clause.

The official buyout clause amount is not disclosed, but according to reports, it could reach 35 million euros.

Most frequently, teams like Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Paris St.Germain are linked with M. Reus in the media.

Reports have also emerged that Borussia Dortmund is offering the German a new contract with an increased salary, but without the option of a specified buyout clause. The current player's contract is valid until 2017.

In 68 matches with Borussia Dortmund, M. Reus has already scored 29 goals and made 25 assists.
