London's "Arsenal" strategist Arsene Wenger believes that the fantastic form of Cristiano Ronaldo should help Portugal triumph in the "Ballon d'Or" awards.
The "Gunners" coach spared no praise for the Real Madrid striker, who along with Lionel Messi is considered a favorite for the title of the best footballer in the world, but the Barcelona star will be unable to play for another two months after a somewhat unsuccessful season start.
When asked which player will win the "Ballon D'Or" award, A. Wenger replied: "It's very difficult to say. Lionel is amazing, but what Ronaldo is doing this season is unbelievable and he should be the best again."
Lionel Messi, who has won the "Ballon d'Or" four times in a row, has scored 14 goals this season, while Cristiano Ronaldo has already scored 24 goals in 17 matches.
It is worth mentioning that the FIFA ceremony, where the winner of the mentioned award will be announced, will take place on January 13.
