London's "Chelsea" club defender Juan Mata believes that the English national football team can win the World Cup in Brazil next year.
The defender for the Spanish national team, who will be defending the champions' titles in the coming years, has played 32 matches and contributed once to the team's victorious journey in South Africa.
However, J. Mata not only believes in the Spanish team's chances of retaining the title, but also in Roy Hodgson's pupils becoming the strongest national team in the world.
"The English team is very strong because it has players from the best country and European clubs. Personally, for me, the English are always contenders to win any important international tournament," praised the Spanish player of the team led by R. Hodgson.
The defender also expressed ambitions to help the Spaniards led by Vicente del Bosque defend their World Cup title.
"It's a big challenge and we all want to contribute to writing history. It would be amazing to play and win in a country that loves soccer so much," said J. Mata.
