The head coach of the Spanish national team, Vicente Del Bosque, will continue working at the helm of the team after the World Cup.
The 62-year-old specialist has signed a new contract with the Spanish Football Federation until 2016.
V. Del Bosque took over as coach of the world and European champions in 2008, when Luis Aragones stepped down from this position after leading the team to triumph in that year's continental championship.
At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, now led by V. Del Bosque, the Spanish team also won the title of the best national team in the world.
Just two years later, at the continental championship, the strategist successfully defended the European champions' titles with the team.
Spain also had the opportunity to add to their trophy collection this summer at the Confederations Cup, but in the final they were beaten 0-3 by the host nation, Brazil.
During V. Del Bosque's coaching tenure, "La Furia Roja" lost only 6 out of 82 matches and celebrated 67 victories.
In the past, the Spaniard has coached the Madrid club "Real" and Istanbul's "Besiktas".
