Barcelona defender Dani Alves has stated that he plans to end his professional athlete career not with the Catalan team.
The 30-year-old Brazilian first wore the "Barca" shirt in 2008 and has played 272 matches for the team so far.
However, D. Alves revealed that he wants to finish his career where he started - at the Brazilian "Bahia" club.
"I want to finish my career where I started it, so I do not consider the possibility of doing it in Barcelona," said the defender about his plans.
"I would be hypocritical if I said that I intend to finish my career at Barcelona, as that option is not feasible for me. I will return to the Bahia club, where I broke into professional football."
"I want to play for a long time, but I will not end my career in Barcelona," stated the Brazilian firmly.
D. Alves has a contract with Barcelona until 2015.
