n Friday evening, additional matches for the World Cup stage were played in European stadiums.

Arguably the most interesting game saw Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portuguese footballers snatch victory at home, beating the Swedish team with Zlatan Ibrahimović in front.

The only goal of the match was scored in the 82nd minute by the aforementioned team leader C. Ronaldo.

In another unexpected match - at home, Ukraine defeated the French by a score of 2-0, whose chances of qualifying for the World Cup hung by a thread.

In the 61st minute, Roman Zozulya put the Ukrainians ahead, and in the 83rd minute, the victory was confirmed by Andriy Yarmolenko with an 11-meter penalty kick.

The Greek team also claimed victory at home, defeating the Romanians by a score of 3-1.

Meanwhile, the earlier match between Iceland and Croatia ended goalless.
