While the clubs are taking a break, the national teams are testing their strength against each other. Friendly matches were played on Friday evening.
One of the most interesting matches took place between Italy and Germany. The winner was not determined and the teams parted peacefully with a score of 1-1.
The Germans were the first to mark when Mats Hummels scored a goal, but the result was soon equalized by Ignazio Abate.
Meanwhile, in another match, England could not avoid defeat. Roy Hodgson's team lost 0-2 to Chilean footballers.
Both goals for the winners were scored by Alexis Sanchez, who is in excellent form demonstrating football skills at Barcelona.
Also, the 2014 World Cup qualifiers Russia drew peacefully with the Serbian team, while the match between Scotland and the USA ended without goals.
