On Sunday, June 12, the first round of the "Sunday Football League" ended. It became clear that all six teams will play in the highest SFL league from autumn, and two teams that took fourth place will compete in additional matches for the right to play against the top seven SFL teams.
One match, which was postponed due to the Lithuanian national team's match against the Spaniards, between the "South IV" and "EF.lt" teams will be played next week, but both clubs have already lost their chances to fight for top positions.
The "Yard" club unexpectedly jumped into the "train" and played a 2-2 draw with "Ozu," securing the 4th place in Group B, so they will play the playoffs with the 4th place team in Group A, FK "Viči" from Kaunas.
In the last round, "Students" won their first point playing a goalless draw with the aforementioned "Viči" team.
Due to personal reasons, the EF.lt team could not gather for the match against "Lecturers," so a technical defeat of 0-3 was awarded to them.
It is nice that the first round passed without major incidents and the "Sunday Football League" is becoming more and more popular.
