The Dortmund "Borussia" team, facing difficult times, has found reinforcement - the "yellow-black" team announced that they have signed a contract with center-back Manuel Friedrich.
According to the official club website, the German, who became a free agent in the summer, signed a contract until the end of this season.
Since 2007, the 34-year-old footballer has played for Leverkusen's "Bayer" team, where he played 147 matches and scored one goal.
The team led by Jurgen Klopp is currently plagued by injuries. The main center-back pair - Neven Subotic and Mats Hummels - have dropped out of the lineup, and full-back Marcel Schmelzer has also suffered an injury.
It is almost certain that M. Friedrich will make his debut within the ranks of "Borussia" already in Saturday's Bundesliga match against Bayern Munich.
