The Madrid newspaper "AS" informs that Madrid's "Real" has reached an agreement with left-back Fabio Coentrao.
It is reported that the Portuguese national team member will sign a new contract, valid until 2018, while the old contract was until 2017.
The 25-year-old footballer expressed a desire to leave Madrid in the summer, but not doing so, he still hinted that he would leave "Real" next winter.
However, it seems that Florentino Perez managed to convince the Portuguese to stay in the team. It is believed that with the new contract, F. Coentrao's salary will increase.
There were reports in the press that the defender could return to Lisbon's "Benfica," and also that "Man Utd" and London's "Tottenham" showed interest in the player.
F. Coentrao arrived at the Spanish capital's team in 2011. In two seasons, the Portuguese played 63 matches and scored three goals.
