Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovič continues to amaze with his statements.
The 32-year-old attacker is convinced that he doesn't need to win the Ballon d'Or to be the best footballer in the world.
The Swede scored his 8th goal in the UEFA Champions League match between PSG and Olympiacos on Wednesday evening. With this goal, Zlatan Ibrahimovič equaled Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Hernan Crespo, Filippo Inzaghi, and Cristiano Ronaldo for goals in the group stage throughout history.
Despite this, the player himself stated that he doesn't care about personal awards, including the prestigious Ballon d'Or, awarded to the best footballer on the planet.
"I don't think about it and it doesn't matter to me. I don't need to win this trophy because I know I'm the best without it," - Ibrahimovič arrogantly replied to journalists' questions.
After the victory against the Greek team, the PSG team secured a place in the round of 16.
"Our goal was to advance from the group and we did it. Now we will wait for the draw and see who we have to face. Until then, we will work hard and prepare for the upcoming matches," said the Swede.
In total, this season Zlatan Ibrahimovič, wearing the jersey of the Parisian club, has scored 17 times.
