"Real" Madrid leader Cristiano Ronaldo once again received personal recognition. The Spanish Professional League (LFP) named the Portuguese as the most valuable player of last season's "Primera" championship.
Recently, at a ceremony organized by "Marca," the 28-year-old footballer was awarded the "Alfredo di Stefano" trophy.
"It is a great honor to receive such an award. I know I can play even better and therefore hope to win even more personal and team titles in the future," said C.Ronaldo.
"Of course, without my teammates, I would not have achieved so much. I especially want to thank them, as well as everyone who has supported me throughout," concluded the captain of the Portuguese national team.
The LFP trophies also went to three other "Real" club footballers. Iker Casillas was awarded for honorable play, Sergio Ramos was recognized as the best defender, and young Asier Illarramendi received two trophies - best goalkeeper of last season and rising star.
