The Vilnius city football club "Žalgiris" continues its offseason work. The Lithuanian champions have kept another football player in their ranks.
In the capital's team, Croatian defender and goalkeeper Andro Švrljuga will continue to play.
The legionnaire, who arrived in Vilnius in the summer of 2012, quickly established himself in the main lineup of "Žalgiris".
Representing the green and white team for about a year and a half, the player has played 57 matches, scored 4 goals, and made 7 assists.
"I may not be the best player on the team, but I can promise that in the coming years there will certainly be no boredom in 'Žalgiris'," said the team's most cheerful player after extending his contract.
A. Švrljuga began his career in his homeland in 2004 with the Kostrena "NK Pomorac" team. Later, from 2007 to 2010, he played for the Pula "NK Istra 1961" team, which in 2009 reached the highest league in Croatia.
Since 2010, the Croatian player has defended the colors of Rijeka's HNK club. After spending two years there, A. Švrljuga moved to Lithuania, where he won the LFF Cup, the Super Cup, and secured the title of national champions with "Žalgiris".
