On Tuesday, the draw for the World Cup groups was announced.
On Friday, FIFA will allocate teams from these baskets into groups, where national teams will compete in the World Cup. 32 teams will be divided into eight groups - from A to H - with four teams each.
One team in Group A is already clear. That is the host Brazil, who will open the World Cup on June 12.
First basket: Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Belgium, Colombia, Germany, Switzerland, Uruguay
Second basket: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria, Cameroon, Chile, Ecuador
Third basket: Japan, Iran, South Korea, Australia, USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras
Fourth basket: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, England, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, France
Before the drawing ceremony, one of the European teams will be moved to the second basket in order to maintain geographical balance.
