The club officially announced that the team is being joined by defender Scott Parker. The 24-year-old Englishman signed a five-year contract and will cost Newcastle around 6.5 million pounds.
"This club is made for me," said the player. "I know that several other clubs were interested in me, but as soon as I found out that Newcastle was among them, I immediately knew where I would go."
According to unofficial data, Newcastle will pay S. Parker a salary of 55 thousand pounds per week. The same amount of money the footballer was earning in London.
The services of the player were also actively sought by Liverpool and London, who will play in the Champions League next year.
