The defender of Bayern Munich Jerome Boateng has extended his contract with the club until 2018.
The 25-year-old footballer's contract with the European and German champions was set to expire in 2015, but after negotiations with the club, it was decided to sign a new contract for another three years.
Boateng joined the Munich team from Manchester City, which defeated Bayern in the Champions League tournament on Tuesday evening. The German team had to pay 13.5 million euros for the player at that time.
In total, J. Boateng has played 109 matches, scored 3 goals, and provided 5 assists while wearing Bayern's jersey.
Recently, left-back David Alaba signed a new contract of the same duration. The Bayern management also wants to secure and retain Toni Kroos in the club, but negotiations with the player are currently stalled.
