Former Turin "Juventus" coach, now working in China, Marcello Lippi negatively assessed the performance of the "black and white" team in the Champions League.
The leaders of Serie A failed to advance past the group stage, finishing behind Madrid's "Real" and Istanbul's "Galatasaray" clubs.
"It is obvious - Juventus' performance is a huge disappointment. However, they did not fall out due to the condition of the pitch in Turkey, but because of poor performances in the first matches," Lippi said.
"The Turin club was worth at least playing in the quarterfinals of the tournament, not in the Europa League. I know many Juventus players personally and I know how disappointed they will be. The players feel they are better than Galatasaray and they are right."
