The Catalan club officially announced that they have signed a cooperation agreement with microprocessor and other computer components manufacturer company "Intel", which has also become a technology partner for "Barcelona".

According to "Barcelona" president Sandro Rosell, the signed agreement will be valid for five years.

Although the leader of the Catalan team refused to specify the exact amount of the deal, as it is confidential information, it is estimated that the Spanish champions' budget will be supplemented by at least 5 million US dollars annually.

"This agreement puts the company "Intel" on the same level as our other strategic partners. "Intel" along with "Nike", "Qatar Airways" and "Audi" will further promote "Barca's" name successfully around the world," emphasized S. Rosell.

"This is more than just a sponsorship agreement," said Deborah Conrad, Vice President and Marketing Director of the company "Intel". - "Barcelona" will now benefit from the latest and most advanced technologies developed in our laboratories. By the way, "Barcelona" also has its own excellent laboratory. It is their youth academy."

Furthermore, the "Intel" logo will now adorn the "Barcelona" jerseys, but it will not be visible from the outside. By mutual agreement, the company's logo with the well-known word "Inside" will be displayed... on the inside of the jerseys.

The first ones to wear this apparel were "Barcelona" captain Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique.

In these jerseys, all the footballers of the Catalan club will play this weekend's Spanish championship match against "Villarreal".
