Lithuanian national team and French forward Jankauskas will not stay in Nice team next season and will at least partially belong to Porto club.
As reported by the official website of the Nice team, the contract with the Lithuanian forward was not renewed and he is likely to return to the Portuguese team, which loaned the player to the French last season.
However, the player from Lithuania struggled in the Ligue 1 championship. He was injured for a long time, and when he was healthy, he mostly appeared on the field running away from the substitutes' bench and did not score any goals in 15 matches.
Earlier in an interview, Jankauskas stated that he wanted to return to Portugal. However, returning there or at least establishing himself in a club may be hindered by the fact that Porto has already acquired Croatian striker Tomislav Šokota and Argentine forward Lisandro López, so the Lithuanian's chances in this team are uncertain.
