In the away game, London's "Chelsea" players lost to "Sunderland" team, testing their strength.
The "aristocrats" were almost denied a ticket to the semi-finals by Lee Cattermole's own goal, but Fabio Borini equalized the score at the end of the match, so the teams had to play extra time.
Right at the end of it, the victory for his team was secured by striker Ki Sung-Yong, whose goal forced Jose Mourinho's proteges out of the tournament.
In the other match, "Leicester City" team could not match the challenge posed by "Manchester City" club.
"Citizens" brought victory with Aleksandar Kolarov's precise strike at the beginning of the match and Edin Dzeko's brace. Lloyd Dyer scored a consolation goal for the opponents.
