On a late Wednesday evening in Spain, six more matches of the "Copa del Rey" (King's Cup) tournament round of 16 were played.
The Spanish vice-champions once again faced the team from "Olimpic Xativa" in front of their fans. The victory and a ticket to the quarter-finals were secured by Madrid's "Real".
The current champions of this tournament, the footballers of Madrid's "Atletico", won in the second leg match during added extra time and advanced to the quarter-finals.
Also advancing to the next stage were "Almeria", Seville's "Real Betis", San Sebastian's "Real Sociedad", and "Racing Santander".
