On Thursday, Bayern officially announced that another footballer has joined the team.
Right-back defender Rafinha has signed a new contract with the Bavarian club. The agreement will be valid until the summer of 2017.
The 28-year-old footballer moved to Munich in 2011 and after two not very successful seasons, there were talks that the Brazilian would leave the team.
However, with coach Pep Guardiola taking charge of the team, Rafinha has been getting more playing time on the field. This season, the defender has already played in 25 matches.
"It is very important for both me and my family to continue working with one of the biggest clubs in the world. I am very proud of that," - stated Rafinha.
Before moving to Bayern, Rafinha played for Genoa, Schalke, and Brazilian club Coritiba.
