The club refused the services of Argentine Mauricio Pellegrino. The 33-year-old defender can now look for a new team.
M.Pellegrino arrived in England in January from the team and signed a short-term contract until the end of this season. Although formally he was only loaned to Liverpool, both teams agreed that the Argentine would not return to Valencia. His contract with this club also ended.
During his time in Liverpool, the defender played in 12 English league matches and did not score any goals. R.Benitez was unable to use M.Pellegrino's services in the Champions League because at the start of the season, the defender represented Valencia in the UEFA Cup.
With Valencia, M.Pellegrino became a Spanish champion twice and once triumphed in the UEFA Cup.
