On Sunday evening in England, the last Premier League match of 2013 was played.
At Stamford Bridge stadium, the Chelsea footballers coached by Jose Mourinho met Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool team.
At the beginning of the match, in the 4th minute, the visitors broke the deadlock after a set piece. Martin Skrtel successfully sent the ball into the net from close range.
The "Reds" couldn't enjoy this lead for long. In the 17th minute, Chelsea's goalkeeper Eden Hazard equalized the score with a long-range shot.
After this goal, the hosts took the initiative. They managed to prove their superiority in the 34th minute when Samuel Eto'o scored after an uncertain play by goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
In the second half, the game on the field remained unchanged. J. Mourinho's players controlled the course of the game and had good opportunities to secure the victory, while B. Rodgers' team tried to equalize the result with isolated attacks.
Nevertheless, the hosts maintained a favorable result and won important three points, which allowed the team to secure the third place in the league table.

In the first half, forward Roberto Soldado scored from the penalty spot, while in the second half, Moussa Dembele and Aaron Lennon added more goals.
