Before New Year, "Man Utd" fans received some good news.
A couple of weeks ago, Robin van Persie, who had strained his thigh muscle during a UEFA Champions League match against Donetsk's "Shakhtar," has started training.
It is expected that the Dutchman will be able to return to the field in the next couple of weeks.
"The forward has been doing light exercises and maybe his comeback is not far off," said coach David Moyes.
The strategist hoped that forward Wayne Rooney, who is recovering from a groin injury, will be able to play in the match against "Tottenham" on January 1.
"I hope he will be able to defend our club's colors on Wednesday," Moyes said.
