Ten days after Luciano Spalletti left the club, he took over the position of the team's head coach and signed a two-year contract worth around 2 million euros per season with the club from the Italian capital.

The 46-year-old Spalletti, who led "Udinese" to fourth place in the 2004/05 Serie A championship and secured a spot in the Champions League qualifying rounds, decided to leave the team motivated by his belief that he may no longer be able to achieve such results.

Initially, "Udinese" did not accept the coach's resignation statement, but eventually an agreement was reached and Spalletti found a clear path to another club. He began his coaching career at the "Empoli" club, later worked at "Sampdoria," "Venezia," and "Ancona."

In the disappointing season of the Italian top flight, where "Roma" changed coaches three times and finished only ninth, reaching the cup final, Bruno Conti, who had recently coached the team, will return to the youth team under the new strategist.

This is not the first change at Roma at the end of the season - new additions to the team include S. Kuffour, R. Taddei, and S. Nonda, while defender V. Candela, who moved to "Udinese" club, has taken Spalletti's place in some roles.
