On Tuesday evening the first semifinal match of the "Capital One Cup" tournament was played in England.
Supporters gathered at the Stadium of Light to watch the encounter between the home team "Sunderland" and "Manchester United".
At the end of the first half, the veteran of the "Red Devils" Ryan Giggs scored an own goal.
Shortly after the break, the score was leveled. Nemanja Vidic scored the equalizing goal after a pass from Tom Cleverley.
However, soon the game turned in favor of David Moyes' team again, as the referee awarded a penalty kick to David De Gea's goal. It was successfully converted by striker Fabio Borini.
After this goal, the visitors could not recover and had to acknowledge the superiority of Gus Poyet's team.
